Dr. Maxwell completed her otolaryngology residency at the University of Colorado Hospital at Denver and is completing her otology-neurotology fellowship at the House Ear Clinic.

She believes that our lives achieve meaning through belonging to a community, to a family, to a profession. In order to exist in these communities, we must regularly communicate with each other. With ear pathology–affecting hearing, taste, balance and facial nerve function–one can become isolated from their community and lose that sense of purpose. Restoring those senses and providing patients with an avenue to reconnect with their communities gives her life meaning.
