Shanel Hill is from Southwest Philadelphia. She has been involved in research since 2014 and clinical research since 2018 because she enjoys the discovery of new treatments and surgical methods that can help people in ways science couldn’t before. Prior to working at the House Institute Foundation, Shanel was a clinical research coordinator under Dr. James R. Berenson working with clinical trials involving multiple myeloma. During college, she also worked at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania as a student research assistant helping doctors with their various projects and her own project based on tubing misconnections.
